About 'angels home health care'|...purposefully did this to embarrass me among the church elders who I COULD CARE LESS ABOUT, BUT WHO SEEMED TO WISH ME WELL, --as my father said...








The               OctoMom               said               she               was               off               government               assistance               (but               that               was               not               totally               true               --               but               she               had               stopped               receiving               food               stamps).

And               although               the               house               she               and               her               mother               had               lived               in               in               Whittier,               California,               was               foreclosed               upon,               she               had               made               enough               off               of               her               television,               radio,               and               print               interviews               to               lease               a               half               million               dollar               home               in               La               Habra               (but               apparently               not               enough               to               keep               her               mother               out               of               foreclosure),               she               now               finds               herself               in               the               financial               straits               of               having               to               feed               her               14               children.

She               told               the               Whittier               Daily               News               that               she               is               considering               going               on               WIC.

Nadya               Suleman               said               that               formula               for               the               octuplets               is               projected               to               cost               $2000               per               month.

She               told               the               paper               Wednesday,               "If               I               need               to               apply               for               WIC               (the               Women,               Infants               and               Children               program)               to               provide               my               babies               with               formula,               then               I'm               going               to."
               WIC               is               a               program               that               provides               federal               grants               to               states               food,               health               care,               and               nutrition               education               for               mothers               and               children               up               to               the               age               of               5.
               Up               until               last               month,               Nadya               Suleman               received               $400               a               month               in               food               stamps.

She               is,               however,               on               MediCal,               which               is               state               aid               that               is               helping               pay               for               the               hospitalization               and               care               of               her               octuplets,               including               the               expenditure               for               nannies               the               OctoMom               chose               to               use               over               the               free               care               offered               by               Angels               in               Waiting,               a               nonprofit               group               who               offered               services               free               of               charge               to               Nadya               Suleman               until               she               suddenly               terminated               the               arrangement.
               She               also               told               the               Whittier               Daily               News               that               her               goal               was               to               one               day               get               her               children               off               MediCal.
               But               to               get               her               and               her               14               children               off               of               the               various               types               of               government               assistance               she               enjoys               or               is               contemplating               using               in               the               future               would               mean               that               she               find               some               means               of               support.

Apparently               her               website,               which               asks               for               donations               by               check               and               by               credit               card,               isn't               bringing               in               enough               money               to               pay               for               everything               the               family               of               15               needs.

Also               apparent               is               that               all               her               money-making               ventures               in               thus               far               this               year               haven't               comprised               enough               to               break               California's               $112,480               that               a               family               of               15               would               have               to               bring               in               in               household               income               by               June               in               order               to               be               ineligible               for               WIC.
               So               how               much               of               this               money               did               she               make               last               year?

The               octuplets               were               born               at               the               end               of               January.

How               did               she               make               enough               money               to               lease               the               half               million               dollar               La               Habra               home,               become               ineligible               for               food               stamps,               but               then               still               be               able               to               apply               for               WIC?

It               seems               that               if               one               had               enough               money               to               lease               a               half               million               dollar               house,               one               could               buy               $2000               worth               of               formula               without               too               much               trouble.

In               fact,               just               how               is               she               able               to               lease               that               house               and               receive               California               state               assistance               to               pay               for               the               octuplets               and               their               nursing               needs?

Some               numbers               aren't               adding               up.
               Nadya               Suleman               also               receives               government               assistance               for               two               of               her               older               children               (for               autism               and               ADHD).
               One               of               the               octuplets,               Jonah,               is               still               in               the               hospital.

There               have               been               rumors               of               late               that               the               OctoMom               is               going               to               star               in               her               own               reality               show               as               soon               as               the               eighth               child               arrives               home.

In               Touch               Weekly               announced               that               that               was               her               intentions.

Life               &               Style               magazine               then               added               that               in               an               interview               over               the               weekend,               she               said               that               a               reality               show               was               out               of               the               question.
               But               a               reality               show               might               get               the               children               and               the               OctoMom               off               MediCal,               assuming               that               the               show               became               a               hit,               which               is               what               Nadya               Suleman               says               she               wants.
               A               mother               of               14,               logistically               and               realistically,               does               not               have               many               options               open               when               it               comes               to               providing               for               such               a               large               family.

Maybe               if               she               got               an               advance               on               that               book               she               spoke               about               writing...
