Home               Health               Care               on               the               Kitsap               Peninsula               Whenever,               and               if               ever,               you               find               yourself               in               a               situation               where               you               need               home               health               care,               there               is               a               very               good               place               here               conveniently               located               on               the               Kitsap               Peninsula               in               western               Washington.

This               place               is               known               as               Harrison               Home               Health.

It               provides               a               variety               of               services               to               in-home               patients.
First               of               all,               in               order               to               access               these               services,               you               need               a               referral               from               your               physician.

Usually,               your               doctor's               office               can               just               fax               or               mail               a               request               for               services.
Having               recently               used               Harrison               Home               Health               for               physical               therapy               services,               I               noticed               nothing               less               than               professionalism               in               my               dealings               with               them.

Their               motto               is               'Exceptional               Care               in               the               Home',               and               it               shows.
Upon               being               referred               to               Harrison               Home               Health,               I               was               given               a               number               to               call               to               arrange               the               beginnings               of               my               in-home               physical               therapy               sessions.

When               I               called               the               number,               there               was               a               voice               mail               on               it,               instead               of               a               receptionist               answering               the               phone.

I               did               not               like               that.

However,               upon               later               calling               again,               I               did               receive               a               real               person.

The               preregistration               process               was               also               handled               via               the               phone,               which               was               helpful.

My               therapist               then               called               me               to               introduce               herself.

It               was               at               this               time               that               we               scheduled               an               appointment               time               and               I               gave               her               directions               to               my               place.

The               date               had               been               previously               arranged               by               the               hospital               discharging               me.
During               my               first               in-home               visit,               the               Harrison               Home               Health               physical               therapist               went               over               the               administrative               protocol.

This               took               about               20               minutes.

She               needed               to               be               certain               that               we               covered               everything               and               that               I               understood               our               agreement.

I               could               have               easily               had               read               the               information,               but               it               was               company               policy               to               go               over               it               in               person.

I               understood               that               since               the               liability               issue               is               covered               during               this               process.
My               in-home               physical               therapist               was               always               prompt.

That               is               particularly               helpful               when               one               has               a               difficult               time               maneuvering               around               the               house.

I               could               count               on               her               coming               when               she               said               and               prepare               for               it.

When               she               was               late,               only               one               time,               she               called               beforehand               to               let               me               know.

We               easily               arranged               another               time               for               her               visit.

I               was               very               impressed               with               her               professionalism.
Another               benefit               of               dealing               with               Harrison               Home               Health               is               the               fact               that               appointments               were               scheduled               in               advance.

Every               time               my               physical               therapist               visited,               we               would               arrange               the               next               visit.

I               found               that               very               convenient.
The               services               offered               by               my               therapist               were               just               great.

She               gave               me               exercise               homework               to               do               each               session,               and               told               me               what               was               expected               of               me               for               our               next               visit.

In               other               words,               she               kept               me               on               my               toes.

She               had               a               variety               of               suggestions               for               improving               my               muscles               and               easing               the               pain               of               recuperation               from               a               total               knee               replacement.

And,               she               did               not               let               me               slack               off.

I               received               both               verbal               and               written               information               to               help               me               along               my               recuperation               process.

She               made               certain               I               had               her               office               number               in               case               of               any               problems.
Overall,               Harrison               Home               Health               is               an               impressive               organization               offering               needed               services               for               us               residents               on               the               Kitsap               peninsula               in               western               Washington.

I               highly               recommend               them.

They               can               be               reached               at               360-792-6750               or               toll-free               at               800-281-4024.
